Countdown to July 1, 2013 launch… t-minus twenty-four days. Panic level: yellow.
Writing is a little behind schedule, but I’ve got a lot of time to catch up. And behind schedule means that I’ve got only two weeks in the can instead of three. By launch, we’ll be up to our happy two-month buffer.
The iconic graphics being done by Matt Howarth are terrific. If you’re all well behaved, I might post one or two here in a few days to give you a sense of how they’ll look.
As you can see from visiting the site, we’re already linked up to the WordPress I’ll be using to post new chapters. It’s not the final design for the page yet, but it’s a place I can be comfortable updating you from. Feel free to use the “leave a comment” link below, I’m eager to hear from y’all.
Finally, the big announcement for today is that the podcast has been cast and even as I type, recording equipment is making its way across the country. So, without further ado, it’s my pleasure to introduce your CHIMERICAL TALES PODCAST team:
- PODCAST ENGINEER and RESUME GOD reader: SCOTT BORST!
- MYTHSTALKERS reader: MICHAEL PAYNE!
- JANE CROW reader: ALYSSA GULLEDGE!
- CLOSING TIME reader: KAY BARRE!
- DARKNESS ON THE EDGE OF TOWN reader: ED HAN!
- ACE ARCHER and TESLA GIRLS reader: ME, DOUGLASS BARRE!
- THE CHAMPION reader: KIERAN DANGER BARRE!
Yes, there are a few empty slots for upcoming readers, and some of the serials we’ve got readers for won’t be among the inital line-up… so if you’re keen on dramatic reading and you’d like to offer your voice to our humble podcast, do please let me know at email@example.com!
Here’s today’s free preview, from JANE CROW: AS THE CROW LIES:
To begin with, I’m a witch. I know that’s a lot to believe, because we do a pretty damn good job of keeping a low profile and staying out of your day to day business. I’m sure you want to hear about our secret passwords and magical hidden trains and all that Harry Potter kind of crap, but I don’t feel like going into it, if you want to know the truth.
See? I totally pretended I made that quote up. If you believe me, get thyself to a library.
